Someone once told me that creativity is not born of happiness, it is born of neglect.
b. Her best trait is probably that she's easy to write because she's my character, my personal own. I know exactly how she should react in my head. I just love the fact that she meshes so well with Jervis. <3
c. Her worst trait... as a character? Or to write? As a character her worst trait is probably that ... I don't know. She doesn't really do anything for herself. Her selflessness is a talent, a pro and a con to/for her.
d. Depending on the situation I find the easiness to write her ranges from amazingly easy to a little medium in the difficult area. But all in all she's a blast of fresh air compared to other characters I've written in the past. She's bland but not so, because she's simple and uncomplicated, but she's not without her interesting character perks. So she maintains interest without being too difficult to write. Lovely. <3
e. The moment I truly captured the character was when I was writing her history for her application. Things just seemed to click into place & she joined the family of characters in my mind 8)
f. Oh, I have some plans for her. Not drastic ones, just little drabbles between her and Jervis.
a. What initially prompted me to write about Dilandau was the fact he was my favorite from Escaflowne. I suppose he was the most complicated character I'd ever come across, and he intrigued me. In my mind I wanted to be able to challenge myself and see if I really could write something as complicated as that and get it dead on. It was as much a fangirlish thing as it was a challenge that I set for myself.
b. One of his best traits would probably be his appearance (or so he would say himself x3) but to write as a character? His personality. It's fun to write; such a rollercoaster.
c. One of his worst traits; his temper. Gosh, it makes him easier to write though. Non-tantrum Dilandau is the hardest to write.
d. I find him difficult to write when he isn't experiencing negative emotional extremes. When he isn't sad, or angry, I find those positive emotions the more difficult to decide how to make him react to them. Is he glad of happiness, or is he not? Obviously every character has their easiness and difficult points, almost as if they are a real person with personality traits that make them behave awkwardly sometimes. If it is a character who is not your own creation you can't be certain of them in every situation so I suppose this is where you fit them into how you imagine them rather than how their actual creator imagines them. I wonder if it pains the creator to see their character badly written... :/
e. In the roleplay we did, 'After Fortune' there was a point where Dilandau was screaming (infact it may not even have been that particular roleplay) but the whole of the roleplay I really didn't like the way he was going, I thought I played him crappy, but then one post made me think "yes, got him nailed right there for that moment" it was when he goes "I HATE YOU FOLKEN!" but I really can't remember which roleplay it was for :/ you loved that post. x)
f. I don't really have any plans to write him in the future, not for fanfiction or roleplay. ; ; shame rly.
